Santa came to visit Fraternite Notre Dame and lit up the faces of many children

On December 20th at 2PM the sled of Santa successfully landed in Spanish Harlem at the doors of Fraternite Notre Dame. The same could not be said of our member Tom McConnon who received TWO flat tires while driving through a road construction site in the West Village heading uptown to meet Santa. After wrapping all the gifts he was not able to see the fruits of his hard labor first hand. We thank him sincerely in the name of Rotary for spearheading this traditional service project and making it once again a great success and of course we thank our donors, the New York Rotary Foundation and the other Manhattan Rotary Clubs for adding a great number of gifts to Santa's sled.

My wife Monica and I were pleased to help out Sister Marie of the Cross and the other volunteers by serving hot coco to the many parents and children in attendance. On a nice sunny day the faces of the children although covered by masks lit up and one could see the happiness through their eyes.

We, the Rotary Club of New York wish everyone a blessed Holiday!
