Rotary luncheon, Tudor City Steakhouse November 3, 2022
On a beautiful fall day in NYC with beautiful vistas to the UN a good time was had by 20 members and guests during the most recent luncheon on Thursday, November 3, 2022. New members Fabio Berardi and Shawn Jacobaccio introduced themselves to the club and Scarlett Pildes brought Billie Davies to the meeting who made an impactful presentation about his life story as a musician, athlete and amputee after a motorcycle accident that left him almost for dead. He is now heading a non profit that offers help to children that have lost limbs either due to genetic malformations or accidents. He is also running the New York City Marathon this coming weekend.
We had visitors from Russia, Turkey and France who exchanged their banners.
We discussed briefly the concept of making a club road trip to Connecticut to visit the John Fitch Distillery owner by member Shawn Jacobaccio. More details to follow
