We're offering a short highlight here of our respected member Dr. George Onourah who is quite active in support of Elmhurst Hospital Queens during the current crisis among other good works. We asked him to provide a bit about himself.

Member Highlight – Dr. George Onourah
I'm the CEO of Foundation for Sustainable Community Development Initiative, Inc. and have done some collaboration with Elmhurst Hospital Center, Some of the relinquished supplies were sometimes donated to us for shipment to communities in Africa where such resources are used to save lives of children and sick elderly patients. (I don't actually work at EHC).
Previously I served Elmurst on Community Board #4 and served NYC Councilwoman the Hon. Helen Sears as Liaison to portions of her 25th Council District which includes Elmhurst, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Corona, Woodside, and Rego Park. Councilwoman. Sears served the city Council from 2001-2008.
Earlier in my youth I was an altar boy and patrol leader in the Boy Scouts.
My goals include helping impoverished folks in poor villages in Nigeria where kids and elderly folks are starving and sick ones dying as a result of this pandemic.
