Our Legendary Rotary Club helped out on Monday evening with the Fraternite Notre Dame Annual Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner. One of our newest members, Bolor T. stepped right up and lent a helping hand to serve a traditional Thanksgiving Turkey dinner with all the trimmings to about one hundred deserving vets.

Our club also sponsored the Shiller Choir to perform many patriotic and spiritual classics that were beautifully sung and inspirational. Each Vet also received a gift-wrapped “God Bless Our Veterans” ceramic coffee mug , which the Vets really seemed to take pride in.

The Veterans Home is located on East 119th street and provides SRO facilities to our returned Vets from the Middle East as well as Vietnam, and is managed by the Volunteers of America.
